Help...
I have a win XP home edition.
When I logon to windows, I do not get the windows welcome
screen with the list of users, but rather I get a "Log On
to Windows" window, and an error msg: "the system could
not log you on. make sure your user name and domain are
correct, then type your password again... " I press the OK
button - and only then do I get the windows welcome screen
with the user names on my computer. This is anoying. (This
is a stand alone computer with no connection to any
domain...).

Everytime I try to change the logon options in the User
accounts (Control panel) I get the following msg: User
Accounts: ClassFactory connot supply requested class". I
press the OK button on this error msg, and then try to
check the "use the welcome screen" - it checks, but does
not save these changes even after I press the "apply
options" button.
Thanks
Zvi.

Click Start, Run and enter CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 Check the box, Users must enter a username and password......... Click Apply. This will prevent XP from trying to autologon whatever account its trying to.
