can't boot win xp

my computer will not boot into windows or safe mode,
instead it gets to the windows xp logo screen and then
reboots. i have tried the recovery console but am unsure

Unfortunately, since we don't know *why* your computer won't boot into
Windows (you don't give enough information for anyone to guess this),
the best solution for you is to do a Repair Install. Here is a link to

Of course, this assumes that your hardware is OK.
