Can't boot up after Tuesday's updates

I have an XP Pro system that won't boot into Normal mode after downloading
Tuesday's updates. Sometimes it stops recognizing the keyboard and mouse
first and then it hangs. Other times I get to put in the username and
password and it hangs at "Loading settings". Other times I can get into safe
mode after a few tries but I can't find any errors and when I reboot into
Normal mode I can't get any further than loading settings.

I've swapped out keyboards and mice with other PC's that are working but
that makes no difference.

Can anyone help please?

Leslie, I am having a similar problem. I just posted a question about it. I
get to the Intel Pent 4 Inside screen and my computer quits responding. The
keyboard and mouse seem to not be working. I'll be watching your post for
answers.
