My windows 2000 server s/p 4 gives me a ntldr file missing
press Ctrl-alt-del to restart. When I boot from the W2k
cd, I get to the point where I choose R for repair or
Enter for a clean install and I get the error setup cannot
continue. no hard drive found. I think the problem is that
I set a second partition on the boot hard drive as active,
no letter name given to the second partition. C: is the
boot partition. I have now read that you can't have two
active partitions on the boot hard disk. I have a good
back up but I can't get the server to boot to dir serv.
restore mode. HELP

why don't you tyr to log on to recovery console and mark the c drive as
active or even you can delete your newly created drive if you no longer need
it

why don't you take the HDD off that server/PC and plug it on another
PC/Server and do a check disk for that PC it might help
