can't backup to CDRW

Meg

I'm running XP Pro. I have both a zip drive and a CDRW.
Originally I loaded files from my old machine via the zip
drive and may have backuped from there once. I'm trying
to run the Microsoft backup and backup to the CDRW,
however, when I try it gives me message "The Backup file
name could not be used xxxxxx.bkf Please ensure it is a
valid path, and that you have sufficient access" It
doesn't matter what name I type in, I get the same
message. I have permission to back up and have no
problems backing up to the zip. Help and thanks in
advance.

That's because you can't use the utility to access a cd writer. You will
have to backup to disk and then write the file to cd.
