can't apply stationery in microsoft Windows mail

I downloaded stationery from windows mail but can't find it. It doesn't show
up where my old stationery is listed. Where is it?

First check the old location and see if it is there. If so move it to the
new location. You need to run the exe that installs the stationery first.

The old location was: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Stationery

The new location is under the subdirectory "stationery" in the message store
location. You can find it by creating a new HTML message and then go to
View | Source Edit and click on the Source tab and go to the top and look
for the <BASE href="new location".

I've been reading what you said and followed your instructions but I wasn't
able to find the "Base href..." at the top of the Source in the new message.
It says: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"><BASE
href="file://C:\Users\marlene\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows
Mail\Stationery\">
<STYLE>BODY {font-family: Tahoma;font-size: 10pt;color: 415432;margin-left:
25 px;margin-top: 25 px;background-position: top left;background-repeat:
repeat;}</STYLE>

I still can't see or use the stationery for my messages. I'm absolutely lost.

Windows Mail is using C:\Users\marlene\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows
Mail\Stationery\ as your stationery location.
Move your download stationery to that location.

ok, call me a slow learner...you said in earlier conversations that we had to
run the .exe stationery file before moving the files to the new location.
Where do i find the .exe files. duh.

Where was the exe download placed on your hard drive?
Download the file again if necessary.
When you run the exe file, note the location where it places the files.
