Cant add printers

My system running Win2K professional, I am not able to add
new printer, even logged in as Admin. Whenever i try to
add pritner it gives an error message "Printer operation
cannot continue due to lack of resources. The print
subsystem is unavailable"
Kindly help

Had this problem exactly - downloaded Windows Service Pack
4 from Microsoft website - on re-booting after
installation all my printers re-appeared and work as they
did before.

That is usualy the result of a stopped print spooler.
After your reboot the spooler was back running.

Go to Start-->Run--> Services.msc

Right Click on PrintSpooler Service and click on the Start.

Or you can type this from the command prompt;
net start spooler

Well it would be a 1068 error, "Service or Dependency failed to start" but
you're on the right track.
