Can't activate MS Spyware Beta

After I first installed the Beta version everything
seemed to work OK. A few days later things started to go
south. I tried to activate Antispyware and it said my
license had expired. A few other things weren't working
right, but after two days I decided to look at the date
in my computer, and it was 2105. Don't have any idea how
that happened, but set it back to 2005. My other
problems went away, but I still can't activate
Antispyware. It doesn't say expired anymore, it just
dies loading. My Task Manager says it "not responding",
so I chose to End Task. This triggers an error report
which I elect to send in. I've done this several times,
but since MS isn't openly supporting this product, I'm
not expecting much help. I have noticed that it tells me
that it has updated itself on several occasions. This
sound familiar to anyone out there? Thanks.

This sounds like an issue others have posted where the product, after an
apparently successful installation and some time using it, suddenly fails to
open when you try to run it.

One recommendation is to restart in safe mode and see whether the product
will work properly there, and then restart in normal mode and see whether
the improvement carries over. Press the F8 key before the initial Windows
screen to start in safe mode.
