Can't Access Windows Update After Win XP Install

I get a DNS Error/site unavailable when trying to access
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com after installing
Windows XP SP1 (clean install). I'm behind a NAT
connection on a D-Link router and connecting works fine
if I move the system to the DMZ. I've added the site to
the Trusted Sites zone, lowered the security settings
and enabled session cookies but no luck. Everything
worked fine using Win 2K and other sites in the
microsoft.com domain work.

Suggestions appreciated.

http://www.download.windowsupdate.com
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Try disabling, at least temporarily, your anti-virus application, firewall
and any third-party "system" tools (e.g., NIS, NSW, anything by McAfee).
