Hi All,

I have I.E 6 installed on windows xp home edition. My
browser has been hit by a problem caused by a rogue site
that has loaded some kind of inhibiter onto my machine. I
run a pop up stopper and Norton Anti-Virus. The symptons
of the problem is. If for example www.microsoft.com is my
home page. When I type another web site directly into my
address bar, for example www.google.com. It does not enter
this site, but another site which contains content that I
do not want to view. The only way I can control what sites
I view is to go into options, and go to the home page
option and enter the site there. Then go back to the
browser screen and hit the home key.

Any Suggestions ?

Thanks

Simon

Hello,

I had exactly the same problem and it's incredibly
frustrating.

I seem to have solved it by downloading freeware called
Spybot Search and Destroy. Run a search for Spybot to find
a download site. Hope this helps.

James.
