hi,

for no reason, i can't open outlook. get a message that personal address
book could not be found, yet i wasn't using a pab.

when browse to outlook folder, it won't let me open, copy or view the pst
files.

properties says the folder is 0kb.

i've tried scanpst tool but no luck. ran spyware and anti-virus stuff but
system seems clean.

tried creating new profile and outlook opens ok but obviously not with the
pst files i want.

desperately need to access inbox and personal folders. scoured net but can't
find anyone with this problem.

please help!

thanks, DL. i had already found the pst files but couldn't access them -
could see them through search (including hidden) or explorer but not access
them.

solved the problem finally by going into folder options and changing
ownership permissions from administrator to my user name.

also changed the name of the pab file, which fortunately was accessible, and
that got rid of that problem.

hope this helps others with the same problem. oh, and i'm about to back up
all my email!
