Can't access AntiVirus sites

I have a strange problem. I had some viruses on my
computer, and got them removed. Now everything works
except, I can't access any AntiVirus Web Pages. I got it
checked for viruses again, and the technician said there
were no more on it. Anything I could check?

You almost surely still have one on there. A number of viruses block access
to antivirus sites only.

It is correct that some viruses block you from connecting and downloading updates. You can connect to Symantec.com and have them remotely run a virus check on your computer. I had to do that to clear off some viruses off my machine and the virus would not allow Norton to execute. Would shut it down everytime I tried to run it.

For what it's worth, although some viruses disable
connection to some update sites, I have never come across
this with AVG from grisoft.com. This program seems to be
more resilient to them.
