Can't accept changes or turn tracking off

Gary

I have a document that was created with Word 95 and saved with "Track
Changes" turned on.

Using Word 2000, I am unable to accept the changes, or turn change tracking
off (the options are grayed out). Is there a way to both accept all changes
and turn further tracking off?

Thank you.

Hi Gary,

Sounds like the document has been protected for changes. If a password was
not applied, you should be able to remove the protection by selecting
Unprotect document from the Tools menu.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps

Hi Gary,

If Doug's suggestion doesn't work (the document might be damaged), then you
should be able to copy/paste the text into a new document (without the last
paragraph mark). That should drop the reviewing information.
