Hi there,

I can't receive mail due to an error "An unknown error has occurred Account
"shawmail". Server "shawmail". Protocol POP3 Port 110. Secure (SSL). No
error number 0x800C0133"

I uninstalled OE and re installed it. And uninstalled TCP/IP and still no
better.

I can send mail, but not receive....

Firewall is off...Norton AV is disabled....

What can I do?

Thanks,

Gordon

Probably your Inbox. If you have stored messages there, move them to a user
created Folder, created as a sub folder to Local Folders. Then move all your
Inbox messages there. Then go to Tools/Options/Maintenance/Store Folder to
find out where your .dbx files are. If you are using XP or 2000, .dbx
folders are hidden so unhide them and go there and delete the inbox.dbx.
Reboot and open OE which will have created a new Inbox for you and you
should be able to download your messages now.

Hi Gordon,

One possibility is a full Inbox. If this seems to be the case move most or
all of the messages in the Inbox to a new OE Local Folder (not named
"Inbox"). Try again to receive e-mail.

It is a good idea to periodically compact OE folders. Do this in Offline
mode.

One possibility is that the name of the incoming server in the options is
wrong. I would contact your provider to find out what the proper names
should be.

Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup.
