Canon S630 - prints b/w but not colour - why?

I have a problem with my Canon S630 colour printer; it prints fine
in black and white, but the colours have stopped working.

When I mean stopped, I mean nothing at all, no smudges or blurs
or little patches ... nothing appears at all.

I have just changed the ink cartridges and this makes no difference.

I've checked in printer settings and can't see anything wrong, also
chose an option to revert to standard settings, no difference.

It does look as if the colour printing has somehow been switched off,
or is it a fault with the printer itself?

Try a nozzle check - press the Resume button until the LED blinks twice then
release the button.
Do you get a good colour print? If so then there is a driver issue which is
best resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the printer.
If not, try up to three cleaning cycles (press the Resume button until the LED
blinks once then release the button).
If that does not fix it your printhead has probably failed.

IF YOU SPELL IS COLORS AND NOT COLOURS AND USE OEM INK IT MAY WORK

Sounds like you've set your "Printing Preferences" to "Gray Scale".
I have just changed the ink cartridges and this makes no difference.

If you are getting a reasonalby accurate gray scale; since *all* of
the cartridges are utilized in combination to achieve gray scale, this
is an unlikely source of your problem.
