Got it.

Very similar to MP830, but with one-line alpha display instead of
color LCD for photo previews, save $100.

Good heritage, but apparently pisses people off by use of chipped
cartridges.

Not true at all. There is nothing wrong with this carts except they
cost too much but are better than not knowing what you are getting that
will clog the printer, fade faster, and produce poor results.

Thanks. Will be for my teacher DIL and she will use Canon carts.
