cannot view source in IE6 SP1 on Win2k pro

I'm running IE6 sp1 on Win2k pro. For whatever reason I cannot view source
from either view menu or right click. After clicking on view/source I can
hear the hard drive working but nothing is displayed, no source and no error
message.

I have already checked for the notepad, which is installed. I have renamed
it to Npad on my desktop. I have reinstalled IE6 SP1. I have checked the
registry for the noview setting under current user\software\MS\IE\Explorer
bars - there is no DWORD entry there.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ooops, the problem is solved. I have renamed notepad on my quick start bar
which I use all the time, but I have forgotten I had another shortcut on my
desk top.

After renaming it too, the problem is solved. Sorry for posting this too
early, perhaps.

Now, can anybody explain me why does it happen and what is the link to the
notepad shortcut name, please.

Thanks, JanAdam
