Cannot view html document (keep receiving an "X")

I am seeing an "x" where graphics are suppose to be
displayed. This occurs when trying to view html
documents. I have the latest windows updates as of today
7/11/03. I have also downloaded the newest version of
direct x. Please advise.
 
Try going into Internext Explorer, and go to Tools->Internet
Options->Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Multimedia section, and make sure
"Show Pictures" is checked.
