itss.dll will always cause an error.

Microsoft® HTML Help Executable has encountered a problem
and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I have tried replacing hh.exe, itss.dll, hhctrl.ocx with
working versions but it doesnt fix it. I have installed
Hotfix 811630 as it was an update for the help system, but
that didnt fix my problem.

[click here for more info] gives ...
AppName: hh.exe AppVer: 5.2.3644.0 ModName: itss.dll
ModVer: 5.2.3644.0 Offset: 0001328d

This is fresh install of WindowsXP, it was installed from
an integrated Service Pack 1a setup CD.

This happens with 5 .chm help files I have found on my
system. I havent found a working one yet :(

The AppName: hh.exe in the [more info] section will
sometimes be different. If I call the helpfile from within
a program, it will be program that crashes, but the ModName
will always be itss.dll.

Please help me!(

It sounds like itss.dll is incorrectly registered. You should be able
to fix the problem by running MJ's Help Diagnostics, available from:
