Cannot update Win98SE french with XP English

Hello
I just bought from the MS Shop the English version of
Windows XP Pro.
I currently run Windows 98 SE, french edition. I tried to
update my 98 to XP, but the install panel says this is
impossible because the languages are different.
How can I bypass this problem ?

Sorry for the disturbance, I don't know why I didn't find
the answer in the Knowledge Base (thanks for the link
anyway)
Well, ... I guess that I have no choice than making
a "clean" install from scratch (... I have no interest in
dual-boot in my case).
No big deal.
Just have to re-install ALL my applications afterwards
(... well, mostly games I must confess, but it takes A LOT
OF time anyway...)
