Cannot unpin in XP home edition

Hi there,
hope you can help. I had some programs which were ’pinned’ to my start
menu. Meanwhile I decided to uninstall the programs, but forgot they
were pinned t othe menu.
Now when I click on them, they won’t start coz they are not installed,
and sometimes, Xp asks if I want to unpin them. I answer yes, but to
no avail. It won’t unpin them. They are stuck.
In another ’pinned’ program, when I do a properties check, it says
they link is ’not a valid link’ but wont let me do anything to it.. I
can’t delete em or do anything. Whilst this is not a matter of life
and death, it is annoying. Can anyone help me ??
thanks
Mark

Just right click the Shortcut, and select "Delete" on the drop down Menu.

Thanks for that but its not that simple. You have to go to the start
menu and there is no delete option. The only option is to REMOVE from
the menu (there are other options of course, but they relate to
renaming etc) and the other option is to UNPIN. however, none of these
work. it doesn’t matter how many times I click to remove from the
start menu or UNPIN, it wont do it. Its stuck!!
lol, just like me .. stuck and dont know what to do
