cannot uninstall motorolla driver

At startup i always get an alert that says "cannot
register sm56 driver." I have tried uninstalling the
driver a few times and i've removed it from the control
panel under "phone and modems." I've even deleted all
files with the word motorola on it. I've also tried to
remove the actual modem from the mother board and re-
installed windows xp by using the CD and
choosing "UPGRADE." Nothing works. Please help!

When i try to re-install the motorola driver it still
says cannot register motorola sm56 modem.

Thank you very much!

Hello

Just go out and buy yourself a different modem since your
having problems with that modem, try a USR modem, their very
cheap these days
