Cannot start Microsoft Office outlook. Cannot open the outlook window

Hi there, this morning I opened Microsoft Outlook 2007 and got the
error "Cannot start Microsoft Office outlook. Cannot open the outlook
window"

No system changes have been made, no anti-virus software is running.
However, Office 2007 SP2 was installed by Automatic Updates on 13th
May 09.

You can start Outlook by first going into Control Panel > Mail > Show
Profiles,
- create a new profile
- set that profile as default
- close this dialog
- restart outlook

However, Outlook will be empty. So would need to import the data from
the old profile PST file.

I think Microsoft has introduced a bug in the latest service pack.

Don't import your old data, just re-add the original PST file from
Control Panel > Mail > Data Files.
