Cannot Start IE 6.0

When clicking on IE icon on desktop I get a error saying
IE has encountered a problem and must shut down, etc.

The error info is as follows:

App Ver 6.0.2800.1106
Mod Ver 1.0.0.6
Offset 0000a95e
Mod Name: winshow.dll

If I right click on the icon and do run as: Admin I am
able to access the internet but cannot download anything
and am restricted from performing certain tasks. I have
tried searching previous posts with no luck,can someone
please let me know how to fix this?

Perform a repair or reinstall of IE6. What operating system do you have? If
Windows XP,

Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows XP
