Cannot start computer

A few minutes ago i tried to start my Desktop computer
running Windows XP pro. After it displayed the
manufatures logo it said "Operating System not found". I
cannot get passed this screen. Is this a problem with XP
Pro or something else. (Its still not starting right now
im on my laptop)

Does your bios still see your hard drive?

your system is not finding the hard drive, a cable my be

loss or you have a bad hard drive.
