I am unable to send or receive email. My ISP is Bellsouth. Issue started 2
days ago. Able to receive webmail unable in Windows Mail. The error message
received is: The connection to the server has failed. Account:
'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, Port:
110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!!!!!

Has anyone reponded to your email? I have the same problem. I thought I had
Outlook but it's Windows Mail w/Vista. Previously, I was able to send and
retrieve mails but within the last 30 days I can receive but cannot send
anything; They just sit in the outbox.

Please help

Your problem is not the same, you can receive, they can't.

Always start your own thread.

For starters:
Move any messages that will move from your Outbox to your Drafts folder.

If any will not move or they give an error? Download and install the
following Hotfix from MS:

That could be a temporary server problem, or one caused by an incompatible
AV Application? Such as Norton, McAfee etc. What do you use?

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no protection not provided by the regular
resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. The latest version of Trend's
anti-virus seems to be causing problems too.
