cannot send emails

I'm using Vista. When I try to send emails, I receive two error messages:

The host 'smtp' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly.
Subject '$134000 Bring all offers. Seller has purchased a new home and
needs to sell! (Eugene)', Account: 'pop3', Server: 'smtp', Protocol: SMTP,
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

and

The host 'pop3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly.
Account: 'pop3', Server: 'pop3', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL):
No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

You have entered the incorrect POP and SMTP server names, who is your mail
provider or ISP if different.
