Hi Ron
I tried your fix, but it did not work
Rather than to give up, after a wedding today, I was in a Border Book Store and was reading one of the computer magazines, and found my fix. I tried it, and it did the job perfectly. I thought I would give you the steps in case some poor soul like me has the same problem of sharing a printer
Go to the primary PC, the one the new printer is assigned, and right click and enable printer sharing--you know these steps
Then, go to one of the slave PCs of laptops, click on the control panel, then click on the printer & faxes icon, then click on "add a printer." Then click next. Select the radio button next to "A Network Printer," or "A Printer attached to another computer." Then, click next "twice," and up will come the list of printers available on the network. Highlight the new printer you want to use on the slave laptop, then click next, and follow the rest of the onscreen prompts to complete the process
It works perfectly, and it is so simple that everyone should know how to share printers on a network, using these simple steps
