Cannot save configuration file

Hi,
I just installed an accounting software on a WinXP Home
machine. The installation went fine, right up till the
very last minute when it gave me an error msg which said:

"Failed to save configuration file. Change config.sys
entries to Files=120 Buffer=40."

I tried opening the config.sys by typing msconfig but it
always says 'cannot find path'.

What is wrong here? Can anyone please help?
 
Jessica, that message is referring to Win98 which uses config.sys file on
occasion. Are you sure that
this software is compatible with WinXP and you are using the correct XP
drivers. XP does not have a
Config.sys file.
