I have replaced my motherboard and processor in my
computer.
When I try to startup the original drive, the computer
will not start.
I tried to go into XP setup and recovery, and it takes me
to a DOS prompt and I cannot recover.

What do I do? Do I need to reformat the entire drive? If
so, I hear I need a new product key from Microsoft. Is
this true?

Thanks, Carey.
Now, I get to the XP Windows and my desktop icons are gone.
It does not show my loaded programs.
But, under the programs folder, the programs are there.
Is there a way to recover my original programs without re-
installing all the programs?
