cannot restart windows xp pro after a crash during defrag

hi, it seems that i cannot restart windows xp pro after a
crash during defrag. any idea why? or how to get things
going again?

Hi Eric,

Boot the WinXP CD, log on to the Recovery Console. Run "chkdsk C: /r" from
the command prompt.

Hi Buddy,
Possibly your Hardware's configuration if not compatible
with Disk Defragmentor. You can try some troubleshooting.
If nothing works out, reinstall Windows XP after backing
up your data. Then never use disk defragmentor in future,
cause possibly your hardware is incompatible with disk
defragmentor.
