Cannot Reply to Newsgroup Postings

[My View]

When I try to reply to a news group and click the send button a blank
dialogue box appears with an "i" in a talk cloud with 3 small blank
rectangular boxes along the bottom that are possibly buttons (but have no
text whatsoever).

There is no text in the dialogue box except the "i".

As a result I am not able to send the reply message.

This does not happen when I send a new post to a newsgroup but only when
replying to an existing post.

Any clues as to how to fix this?

I have OE6.

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, My View asked:

Yes I am well aware that O is different to OE but there are no OE
newsgroups for OE6 only lesser versions.
I will try there anyway.
