Can't reply to messages...

I'm getting a really weird bug here. Whenever I try to reply to newsgroup
messages (tried on 4 different news servers), I get an error message that
shows up, but has no text at all in it. There's a check box I can check and
un-check, and three blank buttons, none of which does anything at all. I've
used OE for years in newsgroups and never seen anything like this. Is this
a known bug? And is there some patch to fix it? I installed all the
Windows updates, so everything should be up to date. I can send posts no
problem, provided it's a new subject and I'm not responding to an existing
post. And I can get posts to LOOK like a response by making a new post with
the same subject line and just typing "re:" before it, but that's a real
hassle, and it screws up the thread-branching, since it always replies to
the first post in the thread only. (So if this thread starts to look funny
after I've responded to it a couple of times, I hope you'll forgive me...)
It only affects newsgroups. E-mail seems to work just fine.

Using Windows 2000, 5.00.2195, SP4. OE 6.00.2800.1106. Anyone got a clue?

Try a group for Outlook Express, it is a different program to Outlook.
