Cannot Repair a program

In add/remove programs I am unable to repair my AutoCAD, it gives me a
message that says:
"The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the
source exists and that you can access it."
I have the orginal installation disk in the CD drive and it loads normally
to be able to install, but the repair function does not seem to know this. I
could uninstall the program then re-install but would rather repair if
possible due to the long set-up time after I re-install.
Can any body give me any ideas?
Thank you in advance

The repair app is probably looking in the registry for the original install
drive or folder. One solution might be to use regedt32 to find (edit menu)
the keys that have 'autocad' in the title. There might be an "InstallPath"
value. Perhaps another cd drive was used to install originally, with a
different drive letter. diskmgmt.msc will change cd drive letters.

OK, I'm a novice at this lingo - can you elaborate further? The regedt32
gives a big long list of everyhting and anything. Autodesk is there but
nothing related to install.
Not sure what the diskmgmt.msc is all about - once again - very novice at
these things.
Thanks again!
