Novell Client Services Installation Utility:
In Order to use this program you must have Administration
Rights to this PC

1. Environment is Novell and Microsoft networks
2. When building PC Image I did use MS Windows
2000 "Novell Client Services" to initially connect to a
Novell server which had the Novell Client on it for
installation of the Novell Client.
3.During the installation of the Novell Client the
installation process displays a message that it is
removing the Microsoft Novell Client Services to complete
the installation.
4.The PC now has Novell Client 4.8.3 on it.
5.Logged on as local machine administrator I add the end
user's ID to the User group.
6. I reboot and have the enduser login and the message
appears at startup. I can close it by clicking on the X in
the message box.

8. I put the end user ID in Power User's Group on the PC
and the same thing occurs

9. I put the end user ID in the Administrator's group on
the PC and the message doesn't appear because they are now
Administrators of the PC.

I cannot have my end users administrators on thier PCs for
obvious security reasons and other desktop support
management reasons

Any ideas of how to clear the Novell Client Services
Installation Utility completely off the PC would be
appreciated. I do not thing Novell Client installation is
fully removing all the traces of this utility or service
file(s).

Why not use ZfD (even 2.0 starterpack which is free) with DLU to create the
local user instead of doing it manually?

Doing things this way may completely avoid the issue you are
troubleshooting.

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to let you know there is a site that may be of some use. A
lot of people who work with Novell products, and are VERY good with
implementations and troubleshooting, frequent the site. You can find it at:
