cannot publish web

When I try to use publish web command it will not bring up any current nor
previous files to publish it just seems to "hang" there. I have not had this
problem before with this web.

What version of FrontPage are you using? Have you tried doing a repair on
the installation of FrontPage?

Close FrontPage.
Do a windows search for a file named cmdui.prf and delete it when found.
Then search for files named *.web ( with the asterisk ) and delete all found.
Reopen FrontPage.

I am running 2002. I did a recaculate hyperlinks. I cannot understand why it
will not bring up any files in the publish web dialog box?

There was not file found on my computer cmdui.prf

If you have FrontPage, there has to be one because FrontPage creates it.
It will be here:
C:\Documents and Settings\%UserProfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\FrontPage\State

Copy and paste the following into Start > Run or the IE Address Bar and click OK or Go as
appropriate

%UserProfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\FrontPage\State

The file is named Cmdui.PRF

Delete it.
