Cannot Print Screen from DOS, Need Help!

I have a DOS based CAD program that is really imporant in
my line of work. I used to be able to print screen and
capture an image, then paste it in other documents such
as MS Word documents as required.

XP won't support this currently. I have tried
numerous 'print screen' programs that were shareware and
supposedly designed for XP. Still - no go!
