Cannot play any DVD's

Noticed I can't play any DVDs. Commercial or home made.
PC does hard reboot right after DVD's play, within 3 seconds. Doesn't
matter if its Windows Media Player, Interactual, Intervideo player etc. Hard
reboots which seems to be a conflict of some type.

Not a drive problem, two different drives and both have same problem
I can play MPEG2 movies off hard drive.

I do have ATI 8500DV, P4 1.8, 512K, and about 40gb of free HD.
W-XP with SP1.

I don't use ATI DVD player.
But I can burn DVDs. Any help appreciated.

Try reinstalling your video card drivers.

did that, no difference.
MPEGS play fine,just DVD's dont.
