Cannot Open or Save Excel 2000 Files. Please help

Hi all,

When ever I try to open an existing document or try to
save the current work sheet the visual basic compiler
opens up with all kind of proraming codes and shows the
following error

Compile Error: Can't find project or library

I really appreciate if someone could help me to fix this.
I cannot save any files in excel what so ever
