Cannot open Notepad

Hi all,

I have just noticed that my Notepad.exe in win xp pro is not working
anymore. I right clicked to view source on a web site and nothing happens. So
i thien went to programs and accessories and ran it from there, but the same
prob. Anyone no how i can reinstall from XP CD..?

What "same prob"? Exactly what happened when you tried this?

What happens is the hous glass comes up next to the mouse as though its about
to open then nothing. It does not open. I have cleared temp Internet Files
and still no luck. I have also checked to see if is a virus Note.com but i'm
clear from that as well..

Hi Wesley,

Thanks for the links, the first one with the reg file in went on fine, now
notepad opens fine. What i had done though prev was download Notepad2.exe
(after notepad.exe stopped working) and attemp to install, but the
instructions were not clear, and it did not complete succesfully.

The reg file that was on the link went in and now opens the Notepad2.exe,
which is a bonus, and It works fine.

Thanks for your help on this matter, I have the link now and will check out
the other things there too.
