Cannot Open Help Files in IE 6.0

I cannot open the Help Files feature in IE 6.0. When
I 'click' Contents and Index nothing happens. I tried to
use the IE Repair Tool. A message prompted me to re-run
Setup. When I attempted that, a window appeared prompting
me to 'click' OK if I want to restore the previous
Internet Explorer and its Shared Components. Any
suggestions would be appreciated.


My OS is Windows 98 SE. I am using Internet Explorer 6.0.

This apparently happened after a windows update.
To fix the problem, find the Tshoot.inf file which should be in
c:\windows\inf, right click
on it and select Install from the popup list. Have your Win cd on hand.
I'm not sure, but likely this also fixes it...

The above will not work if 824145 security fix has been installed.
