IE 6.0 can't uninstall

Cannot uninstall IE 6.0 on an NT4.0 Server that had IE5.0
installed first. Running Add/Remove programs for IE
results with a Screen offering to Add a Component, Repair
Internet Explorer or Restore the previous Windows
configuration.
Tried running repair. That didn't work.
Tried opening IE and get the following error.
Cannot get configuration information about your computer
because of the following error: Error 12009 occurred.
Looked this error up. There is an explanation of what the
error means, however no way to correct it. All I'd like to
do is uninstall IE and re install IE 6.0 with SP1.

"Restore previous Windows configuration" is the uninstall option.
