Hi Out_of_Context,
I'm unsure if the issue resolved or not. But, I have my comments here:
This is not advisable. HKCR stores crucial information about the system and merging the contents of the HKCR from another machine might not suit the computer (due to differences in software / configuration).
Can you explain this a bit further please? Actually, you need to disable the cm.handlers one-by-one to isolate the issue. Have you done that?

Hi
Same problem here. It started with a complaint of
move/copy coming up when selecting multiple files to open.
The move/copy was an "inhouse" addition which has easily
been removed, but when the user selects multiple files to
open...nothing happens. A single file will open without a
problem, but not more than one at a time. I assume it
comes down to programs that have overwritten the context
menu handlers, but have already exported registry keys
from "HKLM\Classes and HKClasses_Root" from broken PC and
imported to working PC, and it still works ok on the
already working PC. I don't really know where next, but
will keep at it. In the meantime, the info below has been
applied to my site and hasn't worked, but may be useful
for you...
We got a few down this way that have a problem when:
1. Select multiple documents (any file types)
2. Right click and select open
3. Nothing happens.
4. It works on any single file when used
"I know the option works, as I have tested this on my PC,
so it's not XP. I'm pretty confident it's a
ContextMenuHandler key that has gone bad (possibly after a
program installation). I have already compared the
following keys, and found them to be the same on both
working and non-working PC's:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\Shell\]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Shell\]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shell\]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers\]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers\]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenu
Handlers]
I also found
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/slowrightclick.htm which has
the user's exact problem listed, but the "really cool"
ShellEx view shows all as enabled, and even if I enable
all, it still doesn't work - the program is rather simple
to use
Basically, the above link doesn't resolve the
issue even though the issue is listed."
Note that the Classes_Root keys above also exist in
HK_Local_Machine\Classes. I changed both areas with no
luck. (And don't forget to back-up your registry if you're
going to play around there...)
Cheers
