Hello,
I recently applied the Sasser update from Microsoft (835732) to my
Win2K server. After doing so, none of my Win98 or XP Home machines can
login to the server. The Win98 machines cannot get passed the login
screen ("Domain controller cannot be found"). The XP Home machines act
like they are logging in locally -- they don't get an IP renewed from
the DHCP on the Win2K machine. Did the MS update enable some firewall,
or something else, on Win2K that's preventing the older operating
systems from logging in? I know that XP Home doesn't allow logging
into domains, but it worked before the patch was applied to the
server. Same thing for the 98 machines.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Andy
