cannot login remotely as administrator

Hi
I have about 30 -5700 and 5710 hp thin clients
I am not running an altiris server -- no time to setup --doing massvie
upgrades to general network
anyway sometimes when i try to rdp into these thins i get an error "The
local policy does not permit you to login interactively" even though they are
part of a domain and running group policy via active directory
i have disabled the local group policy via regedit... but no luck... still
denied access to these thins.

wierd part, it seems to be random as to when this error will occur. the user
can still login to domain and carry on as normal, just i cannot login as
admin and do any changes or whatever.

desperatly seeking solution.

thanks

hi, do you have a password set for your "Administrator" account? You
can't do remote access with an empty administrator password.

Jen, I had the same problem logging in remotely using DUN, recently.
I added the User Account Interface and created administrative logons
for the users (we use a custom shell that locks them into our program
so Windows rights weren't an issue). I didn't nail it down to the
exact cause, but the local policy seemed to prevent me from logging
into the Administrator accounts locally and remotely, at the same
time. Hope that helps.
