Cannot log onto computer after setting workgroup name!

I was attempting to set up a network here at my home, following the
instructions at: http://www.homenethelp.com/web/howto/net-update.asp

At one point it told me to set my workgroup name to be the same on both
computers (my home desktop and work laptop). On my laptop, I already had a
domain setting, but I clicked it to workgroup as the instructions said, and
put in a workgroup name.

I restarted the computer and now I cannot log on! It says my password is
incorrect! Is this because I changed the domain to workgroup? Please advise
on what I can do!

First, try using no password. If that doesn't work...

Try logging on as Administrator. At the login prompt, press Ctrl+Alt+Del
twice (yes, two times) and enter in Administrator for the login, and no
password (unless you set one). Then change the password for your user
account.

I suspect the login you are getting is for Microsoft Networks, not the
Windows login you normally get for just using the computer. It probably has
no password set, so when you enter one ... it doesn't work!

Best wishes, and Happy Holidays.

I have the same problem. I still can not login even after hitting Ctrl+Alt+del.
Please help. I am in urgent need.
