Cannot Log on after initial installation of W2K

I installed W2K as a dual boot. It was supposed to be a
clean install, during installation I noticed that on the
very top of the dialog box it said W2K upgrade. It never
prompted me to set up a user name and password. I let it
continue. After rebooting the log on window came up and I
loged on with the only user name and password I have ever
used on this computer and I get the following logon
message:

The system cannot log you on due to the following error:
The specified domain either does not exist or could not be
contacted.

please try again

I cannot log on to the other os (w2k) on my dual boot it
is corrupt and all I get is blue screen.

Should I just start over and make sure im doing a clean
install.

Unless you specified a password for the local administrator account, it is
blank.
