Cannot link business contact to account in Outlook with BCM 2003

I sell advertising for newspaper special surveys and use an Account for the
topic of each survey. My leads become Business Contacts in that account.

I create a lot of Contacts, but there are occasions where I have contacts in
account A that I want to use again in Account B. I remove the contact from
account A and save and close account A. I then open account B and try to
Select a record to add and get the message 'Business Contact Manager for
Outlook could not complete you last action or actions. Please try again.'
Try again as many times as you like, open and close Outlook, reboot the
machine, re-index the database, nothing works.

This error does not always occur, but it does it fairly regularly and it
will always be the same account / s that do it.

My workaround is to Remove all the contacts from that account and delete the
account, create a new account with the same name and then Select all the
records I have just Removed and thus recreate that account. Having done
that, there is no guarantee that the account will continue to work properly;
it often goes back to the error routine again at some stage.

This is a workaround only and not a solution which is no fun when you have
200+ contacts in an account.

Can anyone help with a solution?

Use Projects for each survey instead of Accounts.
