cannot launch app from web browser

Hi,
We're running IE 6 with WinXP SP2 on our machines. We have links from
out intranet web site to local applications on our users' machines.
After we installed SP2, we can no longer launch these apps through the
links. I know that SP2 put restrictions in place (locking down the
"local zone") but is there any way through a registry modification or
security change in IE to allow just these two apps to run from the web
link?

Try disabling the IE6 SP2 popup blocker. Go to Tools, Pop-Up Blocker,
Pop-up Blocker Settings..., and disable the thing.
