Cannot launch a program

I downloaded a trial version of "Snag-It7". I try to launch the program and it tells me that the program has encountered a problem and need to close immediately. I clicked on details to see if I can see why and I got this information:

AppName: snagit32.exe AppVer: 7.2.5.0 ModName: msvcr71.dll

ModVer: 7.10.3052.4 Offset: 00010428

I can launch Snag-It5 successfully.

Please advise.

Contact the maker of Snag-It for help with its program.

I have seen an issue with this software but not with windows xp, have you
tried reinstalling this software, are know they have go beta dlls for a
update coming soon.
